2nd Allama Iqbal Stamp Show - 2010

The 2nd Allama Iqbal Stamp Show - 2010 held on Iqbal Day, November 09, 2010 at Allama Iqbal's Tomb, near historical Badshahi Mosque, Lahore organized by Mian Sajid Ali of Allama Iqbal Stamps Society. 6 frames (96 pages) displayed here which attracted the people. Pakistan Post also arranged its stall here which was the first time in the history of Lahore on any solo exhibit. Some famous personalities visited here including Mr. Shahzad Qaiser (Vice President - Iqbal Academy Pakistan), Muhammad Suheyl Umar (Director - Iqbal Academy Pakistan), Mr. Munib Iqbal & Mr. Waleed Iqbal (Grandsons of Allama Iqbal), Mr. Majeed Nizami (Chairman - Nawa-i-Waqt Group), Professor Rafiq Ahmed (Deputy Chairman - Nazaria Pakistan Trust), Mr. Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami (Chief Editor - Daily Pakistan), Dr. Abdaal Bela (Deputy Chairman - Pakistan Academy of Letters), Miss Faiza Ahmed Malik (Parliamentary Secretary & President Women Wing, Pakistan People's Party), Mr. Mansoor Ahmed (Senior Manager Purchase - Berger Paints Pakistan Limited) etc. Some philatelists also came for 2nd Allama Iqbal Stamp Show - 2010 including Mr. Wahid Zia (Pak Net Mag), Major (R) Dr.Saif-ul-Hassan Rizvi, Mr. Azhar Iqbal, Mr. Muhammad Tahir, Mr. Syed Saeed Hassan Zaidi. Crowd of all ages came to see the exhibit including politicians, students, philatelists, writers and foreigners. Mian Sajid Ali (Owner of Allama Iqbal Stamps Society) awarded a medal by Mr.Wahid Zia of Pak Net Mag for his successful second consecutive stamp show on Allama Iqbal's 133rd birth anniversary. Allama Iqbal Stamps Society issued a Souvenir Cover and Commemorative Post Mark on this occasion which was available from the stall of Pakistan Post at the event. Samaa TV recorded a documentary on Allama Iqbal Stamps and postal stationary which was telecast on Iqbal Day, November 09, 2010, in her detail news. Some other media channels covered the stamp show including ARY Digital, Waqt News, Rohi and CNBC Pakistan. A short but brief program recorded by Mr.Mujahid Abro for his program Dosra Pehlu about 2nd Allama Iqbal Stamp Show - 2010 which was telecast on the same day in night on CNBC Pakistan.
