India post issued a commemorative stamp to honor a great minister Dr.Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy. Dr.Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy was the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Though he was a doctor, he was known to common people as a Politician. As Chief minister he initiated several programs for the benefit of the common people, farming community, rural youth and rural masses. His policies were people oriented and to improve their livelihood.
He died in a tragic helicopter crash on 2nd September 2009 when he was the Chief Minister for the second term.
