WORLD CUP SOCCER 2010 SOUTH AFRICA

Algeria post issued a set of two stamps and a miniature sheet commemorating the FIFA 2010 world cup.South Africa will host the June 11 to July 11, 2010 the 19th edition of the FIFA World Cup.

This is the first World Cup to a given African country in the history of this prestigious competition and South Africa, not so long out of apartheid has taken up the challenge and organize a tournament at the height of this global event bringing together the 32 countries qualified for the final phase. This global event will give South Africa a sudden acceleration in the economy that will benefit for many years the legacy of this great festival. All sports facilities, transportation, and accommodations have been improved and developed seeking high investment in all areas. For the award of the World Federation Internationale de Football has always been intransigent and has confidence in South Africa, inspired by the country’s experience in hosting major world competitions.

The dual qualification of Algeria, bitterly fought and well deserved at this year’s World Cup and the 27th African Cup of Nations (CAN) has attracted popular interest without précédant.En Angola in January 2010, at the final phase, our national football team finished its journey in the Golden Square exceeding objectives.
