JOINT ISSUE SAN MARINO-GIBRALTAR

San Marino will issue a souvenir sheet jointly with Gibraltar featuring mountains and rocks of two countries.

The maps of Gibraltar and San Marino are depicted in the background of the souvenir sheet with details of Mount Titano and the Rock of Gibraltar, a calcareous promontory forming part of the Betic Cordillera, the mountain range located in southern Spain.

The flags of the two states complete the sheet. In the centre are four stamps: the upper left-hand stamp carries an image of San Marino’s Second Tower with the captions “SAN MARINO”, “Second Tower” and the value “1,50”; the upper right-hand stamp depicts the Moorish Castle in Gibraltar, the stamp is completed by the inscriptions “SAN MARINO”, “Moorish Castle-Gibraltar” and the value “1,50”; the lower left-hand stamp depicts Mount Titano and is completed by the captions “SAN MARINO”, “Mount Titano” and the value “1,50”; in the lower right-hand stamp can be seen an image of the Rock of Gibraltar with the words “SAN MARINO”, “Rock of Gibraltar” and the value “1,50”.
