The world of children's imagination is probably the richest world there is. Since the 17th century, many writers have attempted to describe this fantastic world of fairytale characters and their adventures through books and stories. The magical ideas that spring out from these books is what the motif shared by Croatian Post's two new postage stamps is trying to conjure.
Thanks to books, many children began to learn about the world around them and developed their own creativity. Among many distinguished writers, such as the brothers Grimm, Croatian writers also have great significance. Generations of young readers had grown up with characters created by the imagination of Ivana Brlic Mazuranic, Mate Lovrak and many others.
