Croatian Post has commemorated the start of one of the most important sporting events in the world, which takes place from 11 June to 11 July, with the release of a football-themed postage stamp. The stamp was designed by Dean Roksandic, Zagreb.
It was printed in 200.000 copies, in sheets of nine stamps.
