The Philatelic Bureau of MaltaPost has issued a set of 4 stamps commemorating the WWF's 50th Anniversary.
The miniature sheet depicts a fish found in the Maltese Islands which according to the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) Red List of Threatened Species, has "Near Threatened Status" and will probably soon qualify as "Vulnerable" as the population continues to decrease. The fish is the Chimaera monstrosa, commonly known as Rabbit fish or Fenek tal-Bahar in the Maltese Islands.
The stamps feature four different images of the Chimaera monstrosa.
