Fans of classic motorcycles may be interested in a new celebratory stamp issued by Austrian Post which depicts the KTM 125 - one of the earliest from the KTM stable.
Founded in 1934 by engineer Hans Trunkenpolz, KTM became a leader in off-road motorcycle production leading to the development of a range of motorcycles for all ages and requirements including the 2010 model - the 650 Enduro (pictured). It is however the KTM 125 that the company was perhaps the most famous for. At the time this model was introduced, KTM had just 20 employees, building just three cycles per day.
The stamp, which costs 0.75 Euros, was designed by Hannes Margreiter.
"KTM Motorcycles have long been the dream of many motorcycle enthusiasts. Back in 2006 we released another KTM motorcycle stamp depicting the R125 Tarzan - and now we have found another legendary motorcycle for this series," said Austrian Post Executive, Herbert Gotz.
