50th Anniversary of the First Manned Space Flight stamp from Belarus

On April 12, 2011 the Republic of Belarus will issue a stamp dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the first manned space flight.

On April 12, 1961 the Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin made the flight round the Earth on the ship "Vostok". The flight lasted 108 minutes. In the same year the cosmonaut was given the title of a Hero of the Soviet Union.
