The Isle of Man Post Office is delighted to celebrate the announcement that Prince William is to marry long-term girlfriend Miss Catherine Middleton next year. To mark this prestigious occasion in Royal history, the Isle of Man Post Office is issuing a miniature sheet featuring two stamps depicting Prince William and imagery of Kate and William together.
Although no date for the wedding has been set, it is expected to take place in either the spring or summer of 2011 and the couple will live in North Wales where Prince William, who is second in line to the throne, is serving with the Royal Air Force.
The couple's courtship has been somewhat of a fairytale. They met at St Andrew's University in Fife in 2001 where they were both started out on the same history of art course. They graduated in 2005, the same year as their relationship became widely known.
Now some eight years on, the couple are stronger than ever and look forward to their wedding which will be a great day of national celebration in 2011.
