On Nov. 24, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) shows the new Hong Kong banknote to the reporters.
The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), in conjunction with the three note-issuing banks, will launch the new series of 1,000 H.K. Dollar banknotes on Dec. 7.
A number of security features have been added to the new banknotes, including dynamic color patterns. The other denominations of the redesigned banknote will also be released in batches in the next year.
