Tropical Flowering Plants Blossom on New Stamps from Singapore

Whatever the occasion, you can always send flowers through the mail with beautiful stamps featuring colourful images of the Simpoh Air (Dillenia suffruticosa) and the Singapore Rhododendron (Melastoma malabathricum).

These two new stamps are part of the 2007 Flora & Fauna Definitive stamp series.

The 2007 Flora & Fauna Definitive stamp series provides SingPost with an opportunity to showcase the amazing diversity and beauty of the flora and fauna that exist in Singapore even today. The first edition of the 2007 Flora & Fauna Definitive stamp series issued in 2007 captured 14 Flora and Fauna including the Frangipanni and the Torch Ginger while the second edition released in 2009 showcased two flowering plants commonly found around the island - the Blue Pea Vine and the Pigeon Orchid.

The 2007 Flora & Fauna Definitive stamp series is designed by Mr Wong Wui Kong. Wui Kong's previous stamp designs for SingPost include 'Night Creatures' (2003), '200th Anniversary Celebrations of Hans Christian Andersen' (2005) and 'Know 10 Trees' (2010).
